STEP published an article in Chemical Industry Digest February 2017 issue. The article highlighted work done by STEP team on sustainable approach for effluent treatment in chemical Industry. The work includes new generation of flocculants and technologies currently available to meet the sustainablity objective. The article focuses on different case studies and techno-economic benefits of these technologies. The technologies included are new generation flocculants to reduce COD/TSS, adsorption-separation to recover and reuse a chemical from effluent and Novel Gas-Liquid reactor Downflow Gas Contactor (DGC) for effluent treatment.
