The World Commission on Environment and Development (WCED) defines Sustainable Development as the development which meets the needs of present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
Sustainable development decisions are driven by three overlapping and interacting segments:- Economics, Environment and Ethics.
Organizations, who will focus on minimization of wastage –resources & energy both and embrace efficient technologies, will be more competitive and profitable in the long run.
Sustainable Technosolutions For Environmental Protection Private Limited (STEP) is established in March 2010 with main objective of empowering our clients to achieve sustainable development by advocating conservation & protections of resources, recovery of by-products from waste & adopting energy efficient processes for treatment & management of waste. STEP has also identified training as one of the effective tool to implement Sustainable development.
The aim is to assist our clients in waste treatment/ management (‘back end’ of the process) in short to medium term and further work with them to improve process/ plant productivity with objective to reduce waste generation (‘front end’ of the process) in the long term. The ‘back end- front end’ approach could involve some novel & clean technologies with the objective of sustainable development.
